Trail Work

We will be working Saturday National Trails Day June 7. We are moving right along on this new trail and would love a good group so we can open it up this weekend. Meet in Lot C by 9 am. Tools will be provided, but wear sturdy shoes and bring gloves if you have them.
 
For those that have not been to RW lately, the new section of the Crossover Trail (white blaze) that we had been working on, is open and riding well. Please check it out. It connects warm puppy to last years work.

Over the next few weeks, we will riding bikes in for Dirty Thursdays. Still meet at 4:00 in Lot C or email ahead for locations to meet later. We have one more day to work on the section just opened and then we will be roaming around and doing some repairs around the park: crossover, warm puppy, six bridges are all on the list.

Ellen, I rode that new connection Sunday AM and it is amazing. You guys did a great job. Its definitely cool to have almost a full run of single track from weble pond to lot c. Just figured you guys deserved some serious props.
 
Late to the party here, but finally got a chance to ride in the last month:
a) the new white, including the connectors up to Warm Puppy
b) the reroute on Skylands near the pipeline.

Both are absolutely A class. Pure heaven. Nice work, Art, Ellen and crew...as always!

PS, I came across a group of 6 riders at the top of Warm Puppy last Sunday. A few newbies, a few intermediates. They were lost but were hungry for more trails. I took them on Skylands (with the appropriate warnings about it being technical and all) and all the way to Shepards. Some of them struggled with their rigid bikes, a few of them took some spills, but every single one of them was smiling, and raving about how much fun they were having.
 
We are going to start work on the next section of the Crossover trail, White Trail. We will be meeting at the school at 9am, and riding in to the work site. We will be working just up from the dam at Weyble Pond. I hope all of you have had the chance to ride the work we have done over the last year, this next section is going to be about 8/10 of a mile and even more fun. If you have the time I hope to see you out there. Get your PAYDIRT hours in.

Just want to remind everyone that we are back on this week for trail work:

Dirty Thursday (Aug 21) 4:00 pm

Saturday (Aug 23) at 9:00 am

Both will meet in Lot C and be prepared to ride your bike to the work site. It is a few miles in from the lot.

This will be Ringwood's last race paydirt for 2014. However we may have a few more dates later in the fall.
 
We will be working on Sunday, 9 am lot C. Be ready to ride to the work site. We will be working on the Crossover Trail (White Trail) above Weyble pond. Come for a hour or 5, or just stop in and say hi, the trail is coming along nicely.

Some shot from our trail build today.. We opened up the entrance to this section
because there has been a tremendous amount of traffic on it. We didn't want anyone
getting hurt trying to ride in on the unfinished part. The trail is still under construction
and DEAD ENDS. Hope to see you guys out there...
