June 21, 1930, the New Jersey Veterans' Memorial was dedicated,
“to the glory and honor and eternal memory of New Jersey’s heroes by land and sea and air,
in all wars of our country." Located at High Point State Park.

June 22nd 1633....The trial of Galileo....put on trial for his life, found guilty and spent the rest of his life in house arrest....All because he used a telescope and realized the earth revolved around the sun and thus supported Heliocentrism. I guess he was lucky since 30 years earlier the church had Bruno dragged thru the streets and burned at the stake for supporting the same theory. Yet another of the fabulous legacies of the Catholic Church...Hey at least the church pardoned Galileo in 1992.
