Over charge you on taxes and then Politian's give it back to you as a gift to look good. Don't get me wrong, I'm not giving up my rebate check, but how about we don't overpay in the first place?

I did finally get my 2022 Anchor rebate about a month ago and now received the same letter as well.

As NJ is really hard for younger people to afford houses, I wonder how much unintended consequences a bill like the Stay Act continue making housing harder as otherwise seniors may be freeing up housing as they move away to cheaper places.

If that's even a thing as I'm not sure 50% savings on property taxes for seniors will have enough of an impact to keep people from moving. If costs are a reason to move, all the other high costs are still there.
 
Today is one of those days where I love Brevard.

Slept like crap. Took the cat to the vet (cha ching). Not really the start to vacation I was dreaming of. So I went to my coffee place where the barista made me chuckle and then ran into a friend and had a 45 minute chat where she made me laugh my ass off. Then ran into another friend and said hello and now the day is totally turning around.

I agree with you. The price to buy a home is more expensive than the interest rate. I think you still find some deals in sj as long as you’re not a long the coast.

Turns out his friend Jace came over and he wanted to try riding trails with Robert....So my wife decided to let him use robert's old bike, but I had taken the saddle off of it as a spare for our week long bike trip....Thus, first thing was me sending this to my wife and hoping she could figure out how to install a saddle on a dropper...bc as we know, it can be a bit of an ass pain.

She did manage to find a saddle in my box of junk and got it on the bike....awesome!

Then she took the boys to the tourne where my son gave his friend a crash course in trail riding....bob left his bike shoes in my car, thus he is wearing crocs...He would wear crocs on every ride if I did make him wear his bike shoes...he hates wearing socks.

I was really proud of my wife for making all of this happen....shes not much of a biker, so I was not expecting that she would go along with this.

This is both great and sad at the same time. Great that they're out there in the woods, but sad that that's even worth posting about. I mean we lived on our bikes in the woods and on the city streets as kids and no parent gave a crap about it. It was just expected.

These days if a kid goes out and plays on his own it's a thing.
