Things that make you smile :)

It's all in the Wheels make sure your axles are polished.
I made a troop winning car, I meen my son made a winning car.

Yeah it's a science. "My son" won the whole shebang one year too. Need to widen the wheel base, make it a 3 wheeler, polish the crap out of the axles, match wheels. It's a great son (dad) project

That's a pretty wild car there. My boys tend to go for style points but I can't help myself....adding weight In all the right spots to maximize the potential energy, polishing and applying graphite everywhere, I have even read that a winning car will often only have three wheels touching...every year I try something a little different. So far second place has been our best showing.

Or a son/mom one

Both my kids got into this. I designed one for my son (he did the work, I just suggested a car shape) and he won by a landslide. In the first race the judges put the car backwards and he lost and when I noticed it was backwards I asked for a re-do and he won by more than a foot. Aerodynamics!

They had a class for girls too and my daughter won for most "cool" design. It looked like a dolphin. Painted it with nail polish LOL

Just so you know, the photos of the pinewood derby cars made me smile 🙂

This must be some sort of punishment. HAS to be.
I hear this is the new norm ... They should wear funny hats as well and maybe get rid of the gun and carry lolly pops .
When he went by I just started laughing , shows laziness to me. He didn't seem to think it was as funny as I did .

Driving around with my 6 year old picking up sauce and bread for dinner, stopped at that coffee joint Bookaroos for a hot chocolate with a shot of espresso, it was awesome. But back to the smiling thing, driving with my kid and she keeps playing that new Justin Bieber song like 7 times, but she knows every word and sings the whole song. That makes me smile.

Had a nice ride today, Old Coal Trail to Cherry Ridge off of Clinton Road in West Milford. Kicked my butt today, nice and cold, 8.1 mile ride in 70 minutes, heart rate average 137 with a high of 167. Great scenery with the snow, it is SO weird riding, knowing
NO ONE is around and you're all alone single tracking through the laurels.
