I tried the discus and shotput, but wasn't strong enough to make up for crappy technique. I did run the 110 high hurdles once. That was an experience.

I got my index finger last week with a utility knife. Fresh blade was cutting open a wire bundle to do a repair. Sounds like you got luckier than me but I was too busy to go to urgent care for it so electrical tape and paper towels bandage ftw!
