Double frown. Car related.

2 weeks ago one of those tree nut things came down and hit the windshield of the 4 month old Honda Pilot and cracked the windshield. Safelight coming tmw to see if they can repair it.

And cross posting this one from Sunday. Hit a deer on the way to my announcer job at the Dickerson Mine endurance race. Came out of nowhere on a completely dark road at 645am. Not even sure I care enough any more to fix it beyond some duct tape.

Sigh.

They should have no problem fixing the windshield as for the bumper cover. That's a bummer

windshield on my truck has something on it that causes a starburst type effect on lights, its kind of annoying and only form certain angles, do you know of any products to deep clean the windshield?

It's just Ian's luck. My car lives under a huge gumwood tree and looks worse than @JimN car ever did. When I lived in NJ I drove like an asshole tailgating slow drivers on the highway. My hood looks sandblasted but with 110k I don't even have a scratch on the windshield. Maybe it's my Made in Mexico glass.

I'll stick with just the glass. 🙂

The Fit finally got washed before I sold it, and whatever that black gunk was that was on my roof for years ate away the paint.

Cataracts??

Try wiping the glass with 90% IPA first. If no luck, this stuff works but can take some elbow grease. But that's good, it doesn't cut too much and swirl and scratch the glass.

i know your being a smartass, but im pretty sure theres only a couple companies that make OEM windshield glass for the whole market.

also the 'heated' windshield in my wifes car is WAY worse, idk how she drives that thing at night.

Old Geezer reporting here. My cataract looked like I had a blind spot in the middle of the left eye, my right eye does have cataract but it doesn't affect my eyesight yet, even though it's supposedly already qualifying for surgery. So I wouldn't think that's your case, just move away when you see me coming, you never know...
