Ouch! Doable, have you ever tried one of those drill bit guides to go straight through the broken bolt? Hopefully it's not stainless steel...

Agree. My frown was finding it in my vegetative waste bucket this morning. Guess it's better than an empty can, which has happened, or my front lawn like a poster on my local town FB page this morning. Lot's of shit on the internet today.

No pure laziness. I am a dog owner it really disgusts me to see lazy people that can't carry their dog shit home, off the beach or out of the woods.

While I'm walking Bailey I usually pick up the bags abandoned on the side of the road and even the loose poops if obvious. I wish they came with a name and address so I would have a place were to deposit them...

i have the drill template, unfortunately it IS stainless(according to the internet documentation i found) and the head is aluminum, eventually up snapped off an extractor in the bolt and it all ended up being wasted effort as i was able to drill out and tap ~ 6-8mm hole depth after all this, ended up cutting the bolt short so it would fit without bottoming out, no leaks so i guess its a win?

although i found this guy so if it starts leaking bad enough to prompt future action maybe ill spend some more coin and give it a shot. https://rescuebit.com/shop/ols/products

I found YouTube videos of her playing for Jeff Beck. Awesome. Of courses no Neil, but then who is? Now., as a pig, I must point out that she's much easier on the eyes than Neil

But I agree, they should not call it Rush IMO. OTOH even Neil's widow endorsed her so we're whistling in the wind.

I feel bad for not mentioning I have a couple of time-sert kits I used on my aluminum head with plenty of spares that you could use, I do believe they’re 6x1 and 8x1.25…way better than helicoil.

Thanks, but at this point its back together and not leaking so until (unless) it starts leaking bad enough to smell in the cab im just going to leave well enough alone.

What did we do in the 70's and 80's? I don't ever remember anybody carrying bags of shit around. When did the whole bagging shit in the woods become a thing?

it is a "public park" thing - think Liberty state park - no woods and lots of dog walkers.

if your going to leave it in the woods dont put it in a plastic bag, just flick it off the trail, once its someplace people wont step on it noone is going to know.

I lived in the city in the 70s an if you didn't watch out you stepped in it. We did have a little back yard where the dog went. picked it up and flushed it down the toilet. I the 80s I had a bigger yard with a try line so I through it in there. Let nature take it away.
