Learned my lesson - ordered a saddle rail mount, backup lanyard and a varia 715 with radar and video so the cops can ID my hit and run killer.

i have the 715 as well, keep in mind it uses a different mount than the regular varias

For my 515 on my gravel bike I found this small volume place online and I am super impressed with the quality and the design.

They even send a lanyard and a sticky hook to attach to the garmin plus the design of the mount has a hook that uses a rubber O ring around the garmin. So basically attached 3 ways to the mount.
I crashed with it last Nov and it came off the mount and broke the O ring but the lanyard saved it from flying into the side of the road when we were in between trails.

I have a Sony DVD recorder and just transferred video from a VHS to the DVD. In order to make that DVD useable it must be Finalized.
My remote is broken and I can't finalize the disc. I bought another remote from ebay and it works somewhat but doesn't do what I need.
Anybody have a DVD recorder that can finalize my disc?

Any idea if a laptop with a dvd writer in it could do this?
Not sure if i still have one - but ya never know.
I have a desktop with a disc drive still. But but sure how to close a disc that was burned elsewhere. Usually it's the final function of the writing process
yes it is, the disc stays open for additional writing - ie incremental b/u, and finalized at the end of the week.
it is a generic process for a write-once media.

The bad thing is that in the computer world "closing" a disc is NOT the same as in video "finalizing" the disc.

Weather was great this whole week. I went to a charity dinner on Monday and danced the night away with my wife. I had a great week at work. On Wednesday I got out for a ride…
Thursday afternoon I noticed my abs were a little sore. By the time I got home from work, it felt like a horse had kicked me in the gut. Friday morning I’m in the ER, where I get diagnosed with diverticulitis! 😧 WTF?!?
And here I am in the hospital getting pumped with antibiotics. Haven’t eaten in 36 hours and I may need to stay a 2nd night. 😩
I missed the halloween party my wife and I had been planning for weeks. I’m going to miss my sons homecoming dance tonight. But the worst part is that everyone keeps saying I won’t be able to eat popcorn ever again. How did it all go so wrong???
PS: getting old(er) sucks bigly.

My GI doc told me to ignore the no seed/popcorn thing. Said it's outdated advice and it doesn't make a difference. Feel better, that shit sucks.
