There really isn't. I've tried this multiple times and only succeeded once. It really got me out riding more in some interesting places & times. It also pushed me when I didn't want to ride.
Even when I failed 20+ days into it, the "downside" is I had a lot of great riding in.

I've never participated because I know I could never do 31 days in a row, but I can probably manage 20/31. In.
Seems like a good idea if it can be verified that it is Jorba certified.

Perfect timing - first nj ride will be July 5
I’m pretty sure I’m not eligible to play this year since I only rediscovered bikes (and joined JORBA) in 2009, but it’s always been a fun way to motivate to ride a lot in July. I’ve managed to successfully ride 31 days each time I’ve attempted it. It’s always been a challenge, but it feels really good after that last ride is in the books.

Key word here is “scattered “. Lightening bolts though are always downer whether scattered or 100%
I actually considered floating this idea out there this morning. But I am warping the competition by allowing 20 days so for now I am going to say: hold that thought.
