The July 31/31 Classic p/b Halter's, JORBA, & MTBNJ

21 - https://www.strava.com/activities/5664327629

I took the SS to Estell Manor between a haircut and 1pm meeting to beat the weather. I wanted to ride elsewhere but Estell is super close to town. It started storming the moment I got home, so mission accomplished. Legs still feel terrible so I took it easy and mostly did the dirt roads in what was once the Bethlehem Loading Company's shell loading plant. Belmont #notarace tomorrow, woop woop.

Sleeping in tomorrow morning, so I can attend the Belmont #notarace

Day 21 - Tried to beat the rain. Failed.

Can someone please tell me WTF Strava will randomly decide it doesn't agree with the computer???

At around 2:30, I was sitting at my desk working and happened to check the weather forecast. Shit. What was a 30% chance between 3 and 4 is now near 100% chance between 3 and 7. Check radar and see this heading towards me:

So any thoughts of riding dirt are out the window. Quickly change into riding gear and get on the Grade to do the regular Bristol loop, which I can leisurely stretch into an hour ride. My legs feel sore from the last two rides anyway.

There's a less paved boat launch at Neshaminy, but it's rare I see anyone using it. Most use the marina ramp.

In the industrial park there's a shop that appears to do conversions for police depts. Not sure why they had this parked out front:

And I realize I haven't done the "my bike leaning up against things picture" for the Grade:

Anyway... I thought I just might make it home before the rain came down on me.

@Norm - if I have to go out to make up 11 seconds, please try to let me know before dark...

Edit, never mind: Day 21 - Part 2...

That picture of the screen is enough but 11 seconds on Strava would be very entertaining to see.

This is 11/20+ but based on the math, I need to ride every day after today to even make 20 so I will officially declare myself out - F you stupid sinus infection.

I did get out for a ride today with the local WFH crew. After checking the radar several times we planned for an 11:30am roll out. 11:15 its pouring but its one stupid little rain cell moving past. I hear thunder in the distance but by 11:30 the clouds move past and the sun comes out. Check the radar and it looks good - F it - lets roll.

We meet up and ride through some wet roads locally and 3 miles later the roads are 100% bone dry. only clouds and sun the rest of the 1.5 hour ride so lucky us.

Just wanted to say congrats already to anyone who made it to 20+ - thats pretty impressive due to work/life/weather/Murphy's law etc... and good luck to everyone to make it to 31. I will still check in here the postings here and summaries make the day go faster and I enjoy seeing all the updates.

No ride pics but here's two reasons I didn't ride yesterday. Middle son's bday and failed dishwasher installation that turned into emergency plumber and cost $500 bucks when water main valve handle snapped off. More of that story to be told in the DIY thread at some point...
