The Indoor Cyclist's support thread

Anyone having a issues with Zwift lately?
The last 3 rides Zwift just crashes while I am riding, like it just shuts down completely without any warning.
I am using a iPad and I have updated to the latest version of Zwift.
I cant compare because I am on AppleTV, and I hate to sound like the typical IT guy (IT is my profession) but sometimes these updates require a full restart.

Do the full power down, power on with the iPad and see if that helps. I'd also check to see if your iPad is on the latest iOS and check compatibility since Zwift will sometimes not work on older models as they send upgrades and new features.

I am pretty sure at least one of the updates in the last year I had to fully reboot my AppleTV device and the issues I was having (not finding my trainer, wonky menus) went away.

Hope something helps.

I use an iPad and no issues here

appletv has been gucci, although i see power drop outs from time to time with my favero pedals through zwift companion, but not on my head unit

Ok, I will try again today, I am not having any connectivity issues, its that Zwift just completely shuts down mid ride, never happened before until this weekend and now it's happened 3 rides in a row.

Sounds like something is out-of-date. Firmware, app, etc....
or something is running out of memory - clear cache.
poking at answers here - hopefully it helps.

At some point, the iPad hardware won't be able to support the latest version of Zwift. This is what happened to me and my old MacBook Air. I had to get a new-to-me iPad to run Zwift on.

So I deleted and reinstalled Zwift, powered down and restarted the iPad and it seems good now, 2 rides with no crashes, thanks for the suggestions guys.
And yeah my iPad is a few years old, but I hope that I don't have to buy a new one anytime soon due to Zwift compatibility as it works perfectly.

Did my first keirin race yesterday and came in dead last. Dry heaved afterwards in the bin. See you next week guys and gals.

I detest riding indoors - the only thing that has made it interesting for me is zwift races. Which are really hard and probably rife with weight dopers and cheaters. But it satisfies the competitive itch during the winter.

Which platform is this? Too lazy to read back through the thread sorry.

Discord is basically a chat room so yes you can communicate on it. No it doesn't seem to be ideal for much time.

Do people really communicate on dischord? Isn’t it a pain in the ass?
A lot of groups use it for events and what not. I’ve never used it and don’t really feel the need to chat while I ride. Much rather watch Netflix or if I’m going to do a harder event i just blast my music.
