the tacoma acoustic basses (particularly in fretless) have a really really nice sound. not too bright, you can really pick them out.

the only banjo killer i have ever come across is a weber mando lol. banjos are damn loud!

I'm not sure how many guitars I've had through the years. When I was playing live still I went through equipment like water. I've owned at a minimum of a dozen Satrianis.

I've got an old Ibanez R-series, before they made it a Satriani, has the fatter 1-piece neck. I dropped a Fred and PAF Joe in, sounds amazing.

I always sweated the Original ESP Hammett with the skulls, but what I really want is a Washburn USA Nuno with Bill Lawrence, and my dream guitar is an original Dean USA Dime.
 
540RHH was the model Satch played back then IIRC. I had one in high school, maybe '92 or so?

I so want an original Steve Vai UV7 but they're ungodly expensive now as most of the original MIJ guitars are. They have a re-issue of it now but it just doesn't feel the same...The guitar bible was written on a UV7!!

Yup, that's the one I Have, the red one? You can play it much better than I can, but it's my first real guitar, so it has sentimental value. Plus it sounds pretty killer. I used to play it through a Crate back in the day, now I have a 120watt XXX which is 90 watts too much.
 
Was my first real guitar also. A Blue HH. I had a BC Rich Bitch and a Jackson Rhodes before that but they both sucked. Here's another old picture from high school featuring both of those shitty guitars. I also have some video if anyone wants encouragement that you can actually get better at the guitar.
