The Guitar Player Thread.

I'm not entirely sure what's going on here. A little fusionish I guess? Who knows, I don't listen to this genre of music. I do throw in a monster arpeggio lick at the 3 minute mark just so I can keep my street cred. Rock out with yer cock out.

Playing my ESP Kirk Hammett 602 Signature here. (obviously)

Went into a place. The guy has lots of craigslist postings. He had the esp KH it was nice.
450$ he had a nicer shecter for 500 played really fast and had better sound.
But the guy was dick. would not let me play through distortion after 10 mins.said distortion time is over. He actually said that. so I left.

Played a Ibanez rg it was fun with the tremolo arm lots of slayeresk errie lead noises..
then a shechter wit a chip on it I could have for a song.

My first was a Peavy too. Man those things can take a beating. Great for gigging. Mine lasted YEARS. I eventually stepped up to a GK head with a Hartke cabinet. Now I'm just on a Fender Bass amp. Smaller, lighter and mics up fine.

Your kid want lessons Mikey?

He's almost ready... He has had his Squire for a couple three years now and this year really started to figure it out and just hack at it. He can play a little of Enter Sandman from watching you tube...

I'm waiting for him to show interest enough and ask to to be taught. He's doing the same with drums...

I'll keep you posted

But does he have an electric guitar? I asked how the violin was going and he said he wanted the guitar more..

Off from work today. Rainy day. Really don't feel like going outside and being wet so Iv'e just been sitting in my music room playing guitar all goddamn day.

Here's a minute and a half of a laid back progression I wrote today with some improv on top. This is inspired by today's weather...

oh haaaaay. It's been a while. I had some time to record something today. Took off from work so a plumber can come out and fix my oil burner boiler/furnace thingy. I haven't had hot water in almost 2 weeks.

Here's a little gypsy jazz thing I wrote while waiting for this dude to show up. Going HAM on those arpeggios.

For @capedoc

My cousin Ryan Meagher (guitar) who has a couple Lps. Funny thing he is a star in Spain but here he is just another jazz club junkie.
Spent 5 years after southern cal U jazz major doing clubs in Manhattan. Then went back to school Jazz again at UNLV. Now lives up in Washington.
