The Good Deals Thread

Wow. 27.5 size is getting some awesome deals. Jensen has nice deals on forks under $200. Paired with this, nice build one can have.

Is 27.5 really being obsolete now?

For a front wheel, yeah pretty much it seems.

It looks like that deal is also available on the 29" wheels. 37mm is pretty damn wide though but I'm assuming E-bikes run big tires.

I ride a 27.5 plus on my Kenevo because that’s what it was designed to be run with. You ever noticed dirt bikes run 4 inch plus wide tires and they not on 700c wheels. E bikes should run wider tires because you have a motor to help you turn those wheels and you need the extra rubber to put the torque to the ground. A lot of people have tried wider tires on “skinny “ rims and they didn’t like them because big tires on skinny rims suck. If you have have a chance, try riding a fat bike through a rock field, it’s kinda like cheating compared to a 29er with skinny tires. 27.5 plus is a good compromise imo.

What width 27.5 are you currently using?

Looks like The Pro's Closet is back.

interesting... wonder if they can really get this going again to make any money.

My local Costco (hazlet) has one last display Intense model 951 MTB available in size medium. Marked down to $1499.

It has a couple of tip over blemishes and the fork is assembled backwards. If it was any cheaper I would rescue it. It's a beautiful bike with great specs. I asked about a further discount but no dice.

Still a great deal. Maybe someone here can rescue.
