The new deck will wrap around the bump-out and occupy the space I demolished. It will extend to where the AC compressor is. We can get to the back yard through the basement but that's a pain in the ass.
I'm going to get a dumpster. I originally thought .oat of this could be used for jorba projects etc, but the wood is in worse shape than I thought it was. Not excited to pay nearly $600 for a 10yd dumpster, but it would take me years to get rid of all this in the garbage.
the 60v stuff is totally worth it tho. the 60v saw cuts like a corded saw, no difference in performance, look for a sale and go for it (I have the 60v circular saw and the 60v leaf blower, still looking for a deal on the sawzall)
We don't have many pay-to-dump stations near us.
Could try calling IWS in Bridgewater down near the recycle center and see if they will take an independent load.
rent the home Depot flat bed, load it up, and dump it.
Shop around, if you are only going to toss the wood in, no metal, no concrete, no garbage, you should get a better price.

They have a nice setup, back the truck up, and toss the material over the edge into the roll-offs. no climbing,
or tossing over a rail.

I got ride of all my old fencing and concrete at the Warren landfill since the Hunterdon one is closed. A bit far but totally easy, like Pat said. For big loads of wood it would probably be pretty cheap too.

$600 for a dumpster is hard to swallow, but a decent sized deck could require 4 trips to the dump and a few hundred bucks in fees and gas. If you have extra room in the dumpster, you might be able to get a neighbor or two to share the cost if they have crap they want to get rid of.
I've got enough to fill a 10yd, so that would be multiple trips like @SmooveP mentioned, even with an HD truck rental. I'll give the transfer station in Bridgewater a try, otherwise bite the bullet on the $600 disposal.

How many days do you have the dumpster? Is it cheaper if you keep it for only a few days?
We have a neighbor across the street that has had a 20' dumpster in front of of their house for close to 3 years. Relative owns the carting company. The contractors working on the house are also friends or relatives and only work on the house in between "real" jobs so their major renovation may take forever. Every neighbor talks about it behind their backs but no one does anything about it. Their neighbor just added a dumpster in front of the house too (hopefully not for spite.)

Most places let you keep them for 10 days. Never heard of a discount for fewer days, but you can always ask.
In my shopping around it's 10-14 days, and you get an allotted weight (1.5-2 tons is the norm for a 10yd). There doesn't seem to be savings potential, just overages if you keep it too long or load it too heavy. I'm just hoping I don't have more than 2 tons of wood, really no way to tell. Unless I ask my wife.
