Question for the group. Could this be water percolating up from under the slab?
My house is on a slab with French drain. When it rains like this I typically hear the sump pump doing it’s job very well and I always check on it.
This morning before I left for my ride event I had a moment of panic when I saw water on the floor. I was nearly sure my ride day was over before it started and I moved all the stuff out of the way and noticed a puddle of water only about 24” in diameter centered on this spot of the floor.
I checked the furnace and the hot water tank, and the built in humidistat water and drain lines and nothing was wet anywhere near this spot. Hot water tank has a 3”
spill pan under it and a drain into the French drain even if it did leak.
When I got home this afternoon the towels I left there were obviously still wet. I put a new dry one down to see if it happens again.
Never had any issues like this before we’ve had much more rain then the last 24 hours.
Thoughts welcome and I wouldn’t even know who to call to come look at it ? Mason? Foundation guy ?
Totally baffled.
