The 2011 MTBNJ Fundraiser

Hi all, we're back.

We skipped 2010 because we were able to get enough investment capital from Donald Trump to keep the ship afloat for another year. But this year Donald fired himself and we're left with a little bit of a hole.

In order to fund the site, the picnic, the sticker campaign, and a potential new t-shirt order, I'm forced to beg for money from you, the faithful readers.

Right now I can't offer a whole lot because I did absolutely no planning and just realized 10 minutes ago that I have to do a fundraiser this week. I'm hoping that the Jungle race yesterday didn't break the bank for too many people in terms of bike damage and that everyone is feeling charitable today.

I want to run the fundraiser through the week. Hopefully I can get some stuff for the rest of the week.

This is all I can offer for Monday

$10 donation gets you a big & small sticker (when they're ready)
$20 donation gets you a MTBNJ bottle opener (while supplies last)
$50 donation and I'll try to arrange a ride with your favorite Team MTBNJ personality
$100 donation and I'll make you dinner (location TBD, being edible is not guaranteed)

Tuesday Prizes

$10 donation gets you a big & small sticker (when they're ready)
$20 donation gets you a MTBNJ bottle opener (while supplies last)
$50 donation and I'll try to arrange a ride with your favorite Team MTBNJ personality
Highest bidder gets a tray of Steve's pulled pork (BBQ or Cuban style) and a 6 pack of choice

Wednesday

$10 donation gets you a big & small sticker (when they're ready)
$20 donation gets you a MTBNJ bottle opener (while supplies last)
$30 gets you an invite to the RNG1 pancake breakfast, details TBD, limit of 8 people.

Thursday

$10 donation gets you a big & small sticker (when they're ready)
$20 donation gets you a MTBNJ bottle opener (while supplies last)

Friday

$10 donation gets you a big & small sticker (when they're ready)
$20 donation gets you a MTBNJ bottle opener (while supplies last)
$30 gets you an MTBNJ pint glass
All donations will be matched today, up to $500 total!
If we make it to $500 total (before match) I'll shave my legs and possibly even live video the event!

Donation can be made by clicking the button that says "Donate" on the bottom.

Thanks!

Wow, this just raised the stakes.

"Fatal Failure" on the link in your post Norm but the button on the bottom of the forum works just fine....

Do you have a goal you're trying to hit?

edit -
jd beat me to it

Thanks for pointing that out. I was hoping that clicking the link and pasting the URL would work, but suspected it wouldn't. It may create a unique ID each time you click.

I think we raised close to $1000 last time we did it 2 years ago. I'd hope to surpass that this year.

Thanks for playing. Maybe by Friday I'll be offering to rake your leaves for a good donation.

I'll be kicking in when I get paid.
Since I already have a bottle opener, for a Jackson can I get 4 stickers?

I was wondering how the Cliff bar experiment leftovers nuked would taste for your home cooked dinner.

Done. One of those MTBNJ bottle openers would be cool..if still available. Either way, happy to help the cause!!!

thanks

i think the site is great. it keeps me sane at work, fart-sand-sucker-things or not.

i'm psyched about the final design for the sticker - looking forward to sporting one on the fairing.

I want to exchange the dinner for (2) celebrity Team member riders, and we ride my trails, no helmets, 29ers, gu packs, or tights!! The rules are you have to make it at least the first 15 feet past the squirrel catcher.

Can you provide the bikes? And are tights allowed under baggy shorts?
