Talked to a Charlie from open space and he said feel free to burn it in. They're workin w/ some equestrians to get the roughs worked out. Should be much better next season. Maybe we can recon some other options soon. I'm unfamiliar w/ the lower dam area...........
He said you do the grant work, and the park Super said she trusted you. I gave them both my deepest sympathies😀Just wanted to share a bit of info on this area, the Park has applied for and was granted funds to complete the section of trail around the pond. The grant was prepared with the help of JORBA this past year. The Park plans to start the trail work next spring and it should be completed by early summer.
Charlie, the Env Comish for Allamuchy, should be aware of this information as well. I find it funny that he mentioned he is working with some equestrians on this, as he has been working with the PArk on this trail for the past several years.
As with the rest of the State Park, any trail work has to be approved by the DEP first. If you do not wish to join JORBA for TM sessions, speak with the Park before you start looking at any options for any trail.
