Should be an easy one. According to Strava I haven't been to Chimney Rock since July 2019, which sounds about right. I just completely fell off the radar with family stuff, work, covid life, second child, insert more excuses here. I've done a few neighborhood spins w/ the kids in the trailer, and a few canal runs here and there, but nothing consistent.
Surprisingly, I didn't feel like a total noob or have a complete lack of confidence out there. I was rusty for sure, but I felt really good by the end of my ride, though it was a short one. I'm planning to be back for good. I've been slowly working back to some form of fitness since December (despite a little February hiatus). It's mostly been Peloton rides and workouts, cause that's what we're paying for. Regardless, getting back to some physical activity is renewing my drive. I still have a ways to go, but I feel like I have a decent foundation to start from.
Side note, I recommend the peloton workouts if you're motivated by instruction. They have been surprisingly good, and there's a ton of material there. They also have yoga and meditation. If your spouse has one or is paying for a sub, check it out! You can add another login at no cost.
