Tuckahoe gravel grinder short loop. New build road well except noisy brakes. Definitely had the right tires 44 mm. With no rain it was sandy in spots. Started and finished at Ludlam Island Brewery. A fun day.

I definitely need to join one of the NNJ "e-bike" rides... as while I'm having a blast riding the Heckler, it really feels like I'm doing something wrong or don't have the profile set up right for more technical, "I'll only attempt this on an e-bike" climbs.... like this one:

Finally made it here... I had to pre-run a car club charity drive route today and since I was in the area I decided to break up the drive. It did mean a long day in the car...

A slight taste of what riding out west might be like:

After ...umm... 3 or 4 years (when did the GX AXS kits get released?), I finally had an AXS battery go dead mid-ride. Fortunately, that's why I carry a charged spare in my pack.

One thought came to mind while riding through this section (and others like it): Tiddlywinks.

Ha. We had a kid at home watching a dog that had blown diarrhea all over the house the day before. So it needed to be surgical precision in/out kinda thing while we dropped his older brother off. We'll be back, probably more than once. He's in a 5-year program.
