Tariffs...what to make of them.

CA has around $1.30 in tax - it still doesn't explain why it is $2 more per gallon (NJ $0.66ish.)
has been every time i've been there.
California has its own totally unique gasoline blend (CaRFG).... Most of which they were getting from India and south Korean refineries... Now of course, South Korea and India are struggling to get crude oil at all

.

Which is amazing that diesel is less - although #2 is closer to heating oil than kerosene.
Deisel is definitely not cheaper now... If it's over $6/gal here on the East Coast, I can only imagine what CA prices must be... Part of me wishes I still had my 2003 TDI... but part of me is also glad I don't. I do feel extremely fortunate I don't have to fill up any of my vehicles very often.

My riding buddy Tom is a truck driver for a chemical distribution company and he was commenting yesterday how everything is nuts for his company right now. Between the tariffs and supply issues, they are going through sales staff like water because it's really hard for them to give accurate prices for any of what they sell and they're all getting burnt/stressed out.

I need @Dave Taylor to give me his rundown of what the hell is going on

I'm no day trader but this doesn't make a single bit of sense to me.
I’ll be honest with you, I’m not sure anyone knows what’s going on to me. It just feels like a blow off top. Some basics theories that do repeat themselves like the largest up moves happen in a bearr market. If it goes up that fast it’s gonna come down that fast. I’m not taking any positions typically more than an hour or two. I try to find liquidity sweeps of a four hour or one hour chart and use them for scalps. Maybe this is a huge and flow of international money coming into US markets, but I feel a rug pull coming maybe in another 60 through 80 points on spx. Personally, if you want to day trade, the trend is up so by the call backs until it doesn’t work.
One interesting note is we may just be reverting back to the major trend and back to the upper trend line to wake up for lost money with the flash crash from the warimage.png

Has anyone ever had a text or e-mail from FedEx saying you owe shipping or fees that after a part that has been delivered? When I purchased the new fulcrum rear hub from e-bay at a $147 they never noted that there would be extra duties.

FedEx? No. UPS? Yes... although it was years ago. From more recent experience, UPS and DHL have shipping set up so you have to pay the fees before they will release the delivery. The added duty fee doesn't surprise me, but it does seem odd FedEx isn't set up that way as well.

Yes - and I went on the FedEx site, looked it up by tracking number, and it had a "pay" link.
