Finally made it up to Ringwood around 3:10pm. It was a little difficult to find trails off LOT-C, but once down the road to the left (the one way road), there were plenty of trails. I would love to come back here again. I see that the park closes at 6pm, but man.......... night rides here would be just stupendous. I guess my timing was just too late since I did not see that many cars with a bike rack in the lot, except for a Subaru wagon.

NExt time I wanna be here with a local so they can show me the proper trails.

I got there about 12:45 and didn't stray too far from the lot - road about 45 minutes. Gonna grab a map for next time as it seems a lot of trails are unmarked.

see you next Sunday!

I was at Ringwood on Sunday with friends, but earlier around 10:30....tons of fun leaving from Shepard's Lake Parking lot, explored alot of new stuff near 6 bridges and the red trail. I'll let you know when we do our next ride!

Chimney Rock over the weekend sounds great..I may be in for it 😀

so, chimney rock next sunday, ??< time?

I'd be happy to lead a tour here. We can start off with some of the gentler stuff and progress to orange and yellow if the group desires .
Figure on a solid 2+hours to do the whole park but there are several convenient bail points. You can do as much or as little as you like.

Sounds great, John...I've only been there once, and loved it..even after my seat broke off..still kept riding though 😉

It's one of my favorite places too... and some of my most memorable riding moments heve been when my spirit to ride overcame mechanical misfortune or bodily injury...😀

I was gonna wait for a Norm tour but I think Pedals and I are gonna make an appearence on this one. I'm sure Norm has back alleys that no one knows so I will come back...

I thought this was 11am rides oh well my bad... may try somewhere else or just tool around.

11am became a democracy vote of 12:30..

We'll be there - look for a silver acura and/or silver saab 12:30.

Is there anyone who would like to show Pedals, skiphreak, myself and possiblly a few others earlier say 10:30 or 11am? Sorry for thread jack....

tons of fun

Had a blast at Chimney Rock and Washington Valley Park this past weekend. Took my girlfriend out on a full rigid Raleigh from like 1991 and she blasted through most of the trails 😀. Enjoyed creek crossings which I rarely ever encounter. I'll be at Hartshorne Woods next Sunday and could lead the ride there. Been riding there for over 10 years. Anyone else down for Hartshorne this Sunday Dec 6th? :hmmm:
