Sub-15 pound geared HT 29er

This made me curious to see what my SS weighs in at. Threw it on the scale and it came back at 23lb 9oz..... right up there w/ that cdale

Being a ww myself, I can tell you one thing, that is a picture bike only. Although it does look very trail worthy.
Major bling too.

I would love to try some carbon tubulars on a mountain bike, but from what i have read, the tires wouldnt last too long in NJ terrain. But that is the reason this bike is feather...I believe that wheelset is around 1100grams

I guess uci doesnt impose the weight limit rules

I think the rule only applies to road bikes- which this bike is still above the rule...still amazing.

Some of the World Cup guys are racing on bikes not far off of this- they use all the tricks: 3 bolts for the rotors, no top caps for head set and forks, ti bolt kits, no grease, custom nylon cables, custom bars/post/seat and Dugast/FMB tubs- it is all the sum of the parts.

Not my liking (thankfully- I can not afford it)- but cool to see people pushing the limits.

Shrug... afaik, 6.8kg limit and applies to both. I'll never have the cash to ride something that light nor would I ever race in something that matters enough to worry about it so I'm just playing devils advocate here....

Peddler bike shop did a Cannondale demo day last year at Hartshorne. They had the 26er version of this bike available to ride. 16lbs or so, stock. 'Bout $10k as I recall.
