Strictly METAL

Yup, that's the band.

I think the chick used to be an opera singer or something.

If you are into the Swedish type of melodic metal (which I am), then you'll like this band.

wait a minute...I guess I Must check "this band" out...

this picture reminds me a of an old thread I am afraid to mention

Wow! Do you think THOSE are real? How would you like to be riding along a trail and she steps into your path and asks for directions?

speaking of QR......

OMG....can't believe that GT just won't let fucking go!!!
and I do own all QR's catalog, just cuz I'm an idiot and kept hoping for the ship to right its course. As soon as DeGarmo left, th band went south. I even liked the more commercial MTV friendly EMPIRE.

"Today is a new day and I am thrilled to announce the new Queensrÿche.
Joining me are: Rudy Sarzo, Bobby Blotzer, Glen Drover, Kelly Gray and Randy Gane.
Together we shall embark on a new musical journey that will be a greater extension of where Queensrÿche has ever been." - Geoff Tate

Checked out Huntress on itunes. Not bad. Mercyful Fate influenced for sure. Jill Janus is really hot! Crazy but hot.

The lineup is actually pretty good, but there is absolutely no way that it should be called Queensryche.
Rudy Sarzo sure has had one heck of a career. Are there any bands he hasn't been in? lol...

I know Sarzo is solid (also as a producer) and know the background of guys like Blotzer and Drover that also have been around for a while.

it is the situation that is just at this point now comical. GT is so full of himself he never knows when to stop. I am surprised these 3 guys mentioned above would want to work with him.

Hujntress

The chick from Huntress a.k.a. DJ Penelope Tusdae has graced Playboy as well as being a DJ. She was also in a all girl group called Chelsea Girls. They covered 80's 90's stuff. Me like!

lol... You've been doing some research, haven't you?
I didn't know about Penelope Tuesdae.
A google image search of that was very nice.

I'm glad you enjoyed. Yes I have been...ah, researching. She brings together two things I truly appreciate. Metal and beautiful women. I think it's time for a "date night" with wifey. LOL! Funny, I don't usually go for blondes though.

"You know that dirty male fantasy you have where a goddess like witch takes you to places your body has never been before, then you awake with a start as she devours your soul and your flesh? Jill Janus is the embodiment of that twisted dream– a heavy metal fiend, Julliard graduate and former Playboy playmate. Like a dark siren she will lull you in with her beauty, then her voice will pierce your soul and you will blissfully writhe in pain impaled upon her microphone. Janus is an operatic banshee with an unparalleled four-octave coloratura soprano range and a lust for the occult. “Within me, there’s a nasty, horny old witch who runs the show. Beauty is fleeting, power and magic are eternal.”

Born and raised in the Catskill Mountains of New York, she toured Europe as a teenage opera starlet. Upon her return to the States, Janus embraced the Manhattan nightlife, creating Felliniesque cabarets and parties in a nihilistic club scene. She spent time as a DJ under the pseudonym Penelope Tuesdae, a job she loathed. Years later, Janus moved to Los Angeles and began the gestation period of Huntress. In 2009 she met underground metal band Professor. The universe spread her legs and delivered Huntress to Janus, combining former members of Professor, Dark Black and Skeletonwitch"

Spotify only had 2 songs 😡 then i realized they only had one full album. Diggin' those 2 songs though

SPELL EATERRRRRRRRRRRR!

reminds me a little of Rob Halford/Priest...NIGHT CRAWLEEEEEEEEEERRRRR...
.....and for some reason it brought back memories of the voice of the Guano Apes singer :hmmm:

Monster Magnet is playing Starland on December 15th.
Per the Starland website, they will be Performing Spine Of God in its entirety.
Just figured I'd let ya all know.

I won't be attending this show.
I've never really been a fan, but I know that they are an NJ band.

Starland Ballroom Sunday, September 16th / Doors 6:00PM

Hatebreed • Whitechapel
All Shall Perish • Deez Nuts • One Brick Down • An all-ages to enter, 21 to drink event.
$22 advance, $25 day of show + applicable surcharges

Anyone get the new Sacred Mother Tongue? They're a bit mainstream for my liking but Andy James is hands down the best guitar player on the face of the planet right now so I bought it anyway. It reminds me a little bit of old Disturbed...Check 'em out...

Or if you just want to have your face melted off, get Andy James' latest solo album. He's the first guy to take what guys like Vai and Petrucci have done and then up it to the next level.

Jim, are there vocals on the solo album or is it all instrumental? I could get into that stuff no doubt.

Without doing any research, I think Monster Magnet are from the Monmouth County area. I remember they were pretty prominent in the local scene back in the day, playing a lot of the Ripping Corpse and Vision Purple type shows. I have a box of old show flyers that I kept, I'll have to look through them, Im sure I have a few they were on.
