I did Hillier Than Though on my SS mtb without wslking anything. Oh, and I PR’d the route.

SS is one of the most misunderstood things in cycling. Many wrong assumptions. Many unknown/ignored advantages. Those that love it, get it.

MOST IMPORTANT: That Stormchaser is a dumb bike. Don't buy one! Especially a 54cm is the dumbest. If anyone finds a 54cm available let me know so I can go there & tell people to NOT buy it... 😉

i rode singlespeed mtb exclusively for 4 years and ride it everywhere, i understand it in the mtb, but for a gravel bike/racing it doesn’t make much sense to me, you’re giving up so much gearing somewhere. Bombing a gravel descent and not being able to push a bigger gear would be a huge bummer to me

That’s the whole secret. You go too hard on gears that all the ssers pass u on the next climb.

If I was a new member here on the boards and a noob... I would have read this and went out and bought a SS. Then after a ride on the SS... curse the day you were born. Lol

Maybe there should be some sort of member ranking... like to know that whatever guys in the immortal class say in terms of gearing... it does not apply to me... or other OOS.
