Went for a hike today around pink trail and it was very clean and dry. If you are itching to ride any where in this area, this would be a good bet.

Just got back from a great ride--Started at the iron gate. There is certainly a few big wet spots, but 90% is dry. Just plan on wet feet.--3 trees down,so I will notify the Stevemeister. When you get near the swamp at the maze, you will be treated to thousands of singing, mating frogs...

Rode this morning - great to see so many people out today...thank you to Stratocaster and crew for clearing the trails. 😀

Ditto. You may have been starting as we were finishing.

Conditions were very good. Thanks for the tip! Oh and we heard the peepers 🙂

Yep - got there for 10:30 start. Parked next to some guys from Halters...

if you were part of the group at the gate around noon, my friend and I rode past you (we were parked up closer to the field/other fence).

Hit Stephens again today with the plumber and again amazed how fast it has dried out. Again sitting water in the usual spots but single track even in lower sections were dry.

Stephens Conditions - 3/27

The trail around the lake is still "wet" - the rock garden is still under water after the field/gate, so be careful crossing (slight mishap today involving very wet riders and iPhone).

Some mud here and there - the pink trail/lollipop is in fabulous/dry condition...

Rode SSP with the crew. Conditions were great. A few wet spots in the regular locations. A big Thank You to those who helped address some downed trees.

Have not check out the trails. We rode them last week, in good condition with the usual stops a little moist but nothing to keep you off and the runoff creeks a little deeper than usually but again nothing you cant ride though. It rained Tues,Wed, and a little on Thurs morning so I would guess the SSP should be good to go this weekend, maybe wait till sunday.

WTF is with the trail around the lake (& update)..

Rode Stephens yesterday AM with my daughter. We parked near concert field and rode in from iron gate to trail around lake. What is up with all the machine digging around the lake trail before the single-track? is this work supposed to continue until we cannot even pass through anymore? looked entirely different from fall of last year...

Otherwise...trails are looking good..a few wet spots, but nothing major. rode up along rail-bed, crossed under tracks, made right over two small bridges, roots, and rocks...went up climb, hard right, and rode twisties down to beginning of pink/maze...rode maze loop which is starting to get fast (other than a few extra trees that are down)....

Good to see people out riding...saw many vehicles with rack and/or MTB paraphernalia on way out.

+1 on Conditions....

Trails looked good further up the mountain as well. Think I crossed paths w/you guys on the pink trail @ one of the rock piles (?).

Indeed it was.....I needed a recovery ride since I decided to make Allamuchy North my 1st real ride of the year on Fri. (mostly due to so-so conditions everywhere else). Logged quite a few miles on Fri...helped ease some of the soreness..

🙂

Bump...
