Heading to PSU on business in a couple of weeks. Supposed to be good riding out there. Anyone been there done that? Recommendations? Dare I ask... GPS routes?

I am not sure of the exact distance from State College - but I don't think you are too far from Raystown Lake (I remember seeing State College signs while there)...great trails there!

+1 on Raystown Lake. Super fun, flowy and well marked

Rothrock State Forest is supposed to be awesome and techy. It is just outside of State College, where Raystown is almost an hour away. Check out http://www.nittanymba.net/. I haven't been out to PSU in a while, but I definitely want to hit up Rothrock next time I go.

Buy a purple lizard map, than go to Rothrock, Id say its 15 minutes from State College and you wont cover all the trails there even if you stay a week. Definitely one of the coolest places Ive ridden. Sick views and ST

You're best off parking at the forestry lot on Bear Meadows Rd. past the Tussey Ski area

A good loop would be to ride up Bear Meadows Rd. to Corner Rd., take camp trail to the gasline and hang a right up the gasline and right on Tussey Mtn. Trail. Follow that to either Kettle Trail (and then Longberger) or continue on Tuxedo. If you continue on you can hang a left on N. Bear Meadows Rd. (gated) and take a right onto Longberger. Take Longberger to 3 Bridges and then follow Laurel Run Rd. either up to Little Flat Rd. and drop Old Laurel Trail or do a quick loop off of Green Shoot Trail or Shingletown Trail. There's lots of good stuff in Shingletown but that should give you an idea.

If you can find your way to Coopers Gap, there is some excellent single track to be had.

If you're short on time the can't miss trail is the Tussey Mtn. Trail. Either direction works.

guys thanks for the advice. I am also hearing very good things about roth rock. looks like that's what I'll plan for.
