The first 2010 TM session at the Sourlands is going to be this Sunday at 9am. The plan is to tackle a few of the muddy sections that have suffered from the recent deluges.

-We will be walking to the work sites.
-Tools will be supplied
-Bring work gloves & something to drink.

Meet at the East Mountain Road parking lot.

Also I plan to do a pre-ride at 7am if anyone is game.

Hope to see you there.🙂

I'm there. Come on out ppl. SL hasn't been that bad a few days after the floods this year. It has only been a few long sections here and there that get bad. If we address these we can ride the road bike less! 😀

in like flynn for the TM.

i'd pre-ride, but at my current fitness level, i don't think i'd be able to pull a full loop of everything off in 2 hours...

By the time I show up we will have to do a full loop in 1.5hrs 😀 jk, well not really. I would like to buy some insurance but I've been pretty good lately.

The pre-ride will be lax. RIDE! I would just like to get up top and hit some features up and shoot back down. Save some juice for the earth moving.

Maybe I will do the preride here and then go to the 6 mile TM 😀

I have no problem whatsoever if you just want to pre-ride Kev. The other guys may kidnap you and stick a rake in your hand, but not me. 😀 It's all good, 6MR needs some love too.

Dave, there is no way I was going to try to squeeze in a full loop before TM. I need you guys to have some energy left for trail work.😉 But seriously, come ride with us. The pace will be casual. Probably just hit 3 Amigos to Roaring Rocks and back down to the lot.

sweet - i'm in then. hopefully i'll have a good day where i'm not dragging - that'll sometimes spark a little life in the legs. hopefully.

I pulled the pre-ride and dash last year, so I think I am pushing it doing it twice. 😀

i think i am free for this I would like to preride but I have no squishy bike at the moment

Don't let that stop you. You would have better skillz on a unicycle then most of us clowns out there on our full squish bikes. Bring whateva you got.

i got another person coming with me for both the pre-ride and the TM. he doesn't post on here tho.

A really great crew today for this TM. We got quite a bit done. At the end the Ranger commented to me that those MTB guys really come to work.

We re-routed about 200' of a particularly soggy trail. Also we armored the area between the two boardwalks that has been a problem as long as I can remember. This work was done on the white trail not too far from post 5.

Thanks to all who came out today:
Dave Clark (clarkenstein)
Manny Chung (thatmanManny)
Jason Scala
Mike Lewandowski (VandbtRiver)
Bryan Culberson (brybry57)
Bob Birmingham (montclairebobbyb)

Also our reliable hiker friends Frank and Sharon who are clearly not afraid to get their hands dirty.

Also Manny learned an important lesson during the pre-ride. Tubeless tires don't seal very well with just dry glitter inside.😉
