Six Mile Time Trial Throwdown - Beat My Time

Those are fightin' words!

There isn't a closing date. But I imagine that wet weather starts, this will start to fade, and probably there will be something like an Allaire TT to take it's place.

We need an unofficial Beat My Time TT series!

The winner of the Six Mile one would win by default since no one does the others 😉

Poor Matty.

Poor Matty.

Matty already has 10 points.

I'm going to do all 3 before the end of the year...plus 3 more!

Have to do MD if Utah ever gets around to posting a link.

Then I'll make an LM, and RV. Oh yeah! RV throw-down!

What are you looking for? would you like me to start a thread with the GC link I posted in mattys thread? I think we can start one with my link, but I would be open to suggestions on another route.

Depends on what you want the route to be. You're the master!

It's not for a lack of trying. I just think six mile doesn't have 3,236 trails that all cross each other.

I could do a Wildcat loop; but we may never see some people again.

Oh shit. We could so the Bill-to-Tim's-house TT. I think just surviving that nets you a case of beer.

we did that at the LM time trial. of course at that point it was needed b/c it was, what, december or something?

OK, couple of things first.

1-as I was leaving the lot, Fit4life Rick asked if I was time trialing and I said no. It wasn't until I crossed Middlebush that I decided to give it a go.

2-First ride on a new(sorta) bike.

3-At this point, with work, 1 kid in cheer, 1 newish baby, Im barely riding 1 day a week.

4-on my return to the 27 lot, I hipped checked a tree so hard it knocked me off the bike. The last few hundred yards I shut it down and just got myself back to the car.

Once school starts back up, Im gonna try this again on a week day morning when there isnt as much traffic on the trails, Im confident I can easily get this under 1:30

Holy crap Wally, take it easy!

And you must have levitated for some part of the ride cause your elevation change is 2600 feet!

Updated.

I'm at a bbq now and my whole right side is starting to stiffen up. Jshort was in the lot and said that it looks like it hurts. It does. I posted the pic on fb. Let's see how it looks in the coming days

So I had to drive down to forked river this morning. I packed my epic with me in case I had time to finally check out six mile.....Got there around 3:30 and gave it a go. Wow, fun place!

attempt 1:

Moving time: 1:22:30

Although I totally forgot to check which direction we are supposed to go at the fork in the trail. I went right (so CCW if you are looking at the map) and then over the metal bridge. im sure that was answered somewhere in here, but im not digging through 10 pages to find it. So I could have done that part backwards.

Wasnt sure if I was going to give it a full effort today, when I got into the real windy stuff I decided to drop the hammer. But I did still attempt the log rides, namely the one that norm crashed on....I didnt crash, but I bailed after probably 10'. I skipped that high log bridge...f-that, im a wuss with heights. Then I crashed coming out of a river bed after burping my front tire pretty bad. That was probably the hardest crash I have had in some time. Good times! Ill have to try and get back there again now that I know it a bit better, I was head down alot trying to make sure I didnt f up. Missed a few turns and had to stop and turn around, but it didnt cost me too much time.

Dont think anyone is touching tonys time, certainly not me.
