Today's Numbers are as follows. 16.29 Miles, 10.5 Average Speed, 20.5 Max Speed, Total Moving Time 1hr 32mins, 20sec, Total Elapsed Time 1hr 38mins 43sec. I stopped a couple times to record the time at each of my normal time check spots ie: Concrete Bridge, So Middlebush Crossing, Canal Road Ranger Station, 27 Parking lot Start & Finish...... I have pics of my Cateye at each one of the afore mentioned spots so you can see I ain't Bullshittin.......... Trying to figure out how to get them from my blackberry on the site. They will be posted soon.............

Hello Madness!

Welcome to the Six Mile United Time Trialists' main event.

The rules for those without a Garmin Connect link with recorded history are simple: Honor system. There is a section for the results of the un-garmins on the first page. So far it's kind of sparse. So no need to take pics of the cateye, I believe you (more so than Pearl's jewel encrusted iPhone) 😀

The only other rule is that the route has to be this

Its about a 14-15 mile loop depending on whose garmin you believe.

You say you did 16.3 miles. That's seems much longer then the "official" route... But you must've been really moving ... You may want to redo the official route and repost your result ... or I can post up this one if you like for now

Cheers

That is my normal everyday loop of the park. I saw Soulchild today on my run and he told me it was based on about 14 miles so we were going to get together one day this week and do the official loop since I don't know what you guys are cutting out of the park to loose 2 miles. I hit everything in the park when I do my loop. I always start to loose it by the time I get to the last 2 miles or so right before the 27 lot, and my average drops a couple fractions of a mile. For instance today I was averaging 10.7 till the end I fizzled out and dropped to 10.5 at the end.

My buddies cat eye tells him he did 16 miles when my garmin says 14+ so I wouldn't be surprised if you were doing the same loop.

I have run that loop with other friends of mine with different computers and we got the same mileage. I know the last time I rode with pearl and dustin we cut a few sections that I normally ride and it was 14.5 miles if I remember correctly and we averaged 10.7 through that loop. I will see when I get with Soulchild and garmin it as well as cateye it. Cause if it is only 14 miles then I need to step my game up. And by the way I will add to Tony's praise and say that kid is a effin beast. I was only able to keep his pace for about half the ride with him then he dropped me on the last section before So. Middlebush......

Contested on Friday the 13th (13 is my lucky number) but could not improve but kept consistent with my last time and still hold my position. So no need to update.

I can definately improve on this time. Here are my excuses for this morning:

First ride with SS (new wheel and unknown what gearing works for me, 32 x 16 was pretty good), new tires front and back (too much air pressure!!), new shorter stem (80mm from 100), new bars and grips, first trail ride of the summer starting with lights (up until the fields after 28 logs) and unknown trails conditions had me going slow in the twisties on the way out.

So I was basically relearning cornering on this bike with the new tires and cockpit. I was settiling in on the way back though. The short stem to make this bike better for jumping and now it feels awesome to bunnyhop.

As far as conditions, most of the trail you would never know it rained. It was also raining on my way there. Twisties were great and the rain cut the dust a bit. Field sections were slick outside the worn trail. I ate shit about 100' into the red coming off the white and hit my knee hard, the ground is like pavement. The edges of the trail were slick.

I recorded the same exact mileage as my faster time to at 13.78, has to be because of the auto record setting or something...

1:33 moving time via Honor system . Completed 8/13/10.

Trails were a little busy and So. Middlebush crossing was a nightmare. Rode with my brother which I think helped the pace a bit. Will be getting a Garrmin soon and getting back out there to lower that time.

Good work, and welcome to the trial of all time!

Updated.

I can definately improve on this time.

I'm going to get out there for a cross bike loop. I've been out a few times on it with the kids already. Frankly though I do not think I'm going to be faster on CX. I think an MTB is going to win every time all things being equal. I could be wrong. This hypothesis requires experimentation.

Moving on Up

Rode last night and beat my previous time by 47 seconds. I think this is my last try unless I get a bigger gear...

*For whatever reason, my garmin records less mileage, so this is MPH is based on the 14.7 miles that Kush's garmin collected.

I had to wait at middlebush, which was super annoying since I really never wait when i ride in the morning. On the way back through the twisties I had the most fun I have had on the bike in a long time. It was weird, for a few mins I had a heightened sense of awareness and I had flow in a few sections that i have never had before, twas a cool feeling.

I can thank Katy Perry for this one....I had California Gurls stuck in my head the whole time.

For some reason this ALWAYS happens to me....I get the WORST songs stuck in my head while riding. Yesterday at CR it was the "Falling to Pieces" song.

Is there a closing date for this contest?

I have 3 beers left in my fridge and my Rig has 32x17 on it right now.

Those are fightin' words!

There isn't a closing date. But I imagine that wet weather starts, this will start to fade, and probably there will be something like an Allaire TT to take it's place.
