Singlespeed-a-polooza

yes .. it's the 2nd mud pit - goes into the short but steep hill as you described.. i noticed there's is room to re-route on the right side, wonder if they'll do that :hmmm:

I think the mud may have dried a bit since you were there, yesterday I was able to get up the hill as well as a few others I was with. Still a little muddy but was able to keep some speed up. Probably better than would have been possible couple days earlier.

How's this for training?

So, just like two weeks before my last mountain bike race, in 1994, I've broken a couple of bones in my foot. Now, those of you that might be thinking about going out and doing the same thing, it's not as glamorous as it sounds.

I managed to do it in a work related endeavor. As they say on TV, you should see the other guy's foot.

I've not tried to ride my bike and I anticipate it will entail a gnashing of teeth and much hair pulling. The whole "running up that hill" part of SS'plooza might have to be compromised somewhat also.

So, if you're man enough: The cool guys are racing with broken bones. Get to snappin!

No details? How about if I just pick a scab just before the start? Good enough?

Dood, that sucks! So if I see you trying to pass me, I can kick your foot? Seriously, hope it gets better soon and doesn't hurt/swell too much.

Got a pre ride in with pedals and oxford today. As for the race course "Fing Wicked in a Bostonian slang" I really like visiting this place. Fast is gonna be the theme. Really leaning towards 32-19 only because of washboard and major mike. I could see going as low as 16t though. I am gonna try to go once more next week to see if rigid is the way. Today was a lot of map reading so didn't get the full effect. Only major mike is where I'd want sussy. The factory is icing on the cake. Dark horse boys put together another beauty...

I'm in to go any day but tues. Split the gas with you.
I'm gonna see what an 18 is like.

I don't suppose anyone would be interested in a Thursday afternoon ride (this week)? I'm thinking a 4:00-4:15 ride might be in order.
