Thanks to mtbnj for putting on a great race. Did the fatbike race finished 2nd.JimmyV was close just couldn’t close in on him. First podium spot in 3 years of racing. All smiles on the way home.
Then went right into sport decided to stick with fat bike was already trashed didn’t wanna wash another bike. The course got even tougher wound up finishing mid pack. Overall great time and day ! Thanks

Today's Conditions:
Fun day, I had no top end to bring anything to the table! Got a great start in expert, solid first lap, legs were angry lap 2 with over 4 to go. Tried to hold on and not lose the pace. Note to self, doing a spin class Friday then a 2 hour road ride Saturday isn't recommended! 😉
Wound up bringing my SLR camera and nabbing a bunch of photos. Currently uploading, should have links up by 6pm. I unfortunately didn't get things locked down with the camera till the sport race!

Had a great first race today guys. No idea where I placed in beginner, just happy I finished. It justifys that I must purchase a smart trainer for sure. The greasy switchback climbs were a bear, but man did I love those sketchy downhills. Thanks to everyone that put this together.

I had to stop talking and run to my son's bday party, last I saw @Magic and @Santapez were battling....who was vanquished?
Usually my first race of the year I start out slow and gradually start feeling better....Today my start was beyond bad...I mean when @Mountain Bike Mike is behind me yelling "LETS GO UTAH" I knew something was really off. After a lap or so, it was like someone finally turned the choke lever to off and I started feeling like my old self again. Rest of the race I just put my head down and drilled it until I caught the person in front of me....I tried making a very ill advised pass for 2nd over a tree root ball on the last lap and crashed, (on paper it looked like a good idea, but I forgot to put the rain and being tired into the equation)....Good race, after that start, I was super happy to get back to third.
