Round Valley Conditions

but of course!
Could use a couple more peeps to bump it up for me 🙂

It seems you actually used the TC app as it's ideally intended. You were riding, stopped to rate the park, then posted on the conditions thread.

Rode the whole out and back today. Near south parking lot is a little,wet, but once we climbed towards the switchbacks the rest was pretty much perfect.

I rode yesterday afternoon when the temps were a little warmer. South Parking lot all the way to boy scout pavilion was wet, very wet. If anyone is riding there I suggest parking at Cushetunk and completely avoiding that area. Beyond the boy scout pavilion all the way to Eagle Nest trail was all ridable with some areas still covered in snow.

based on the last two reviews, why is the dashboard still 4.0?
RV is the exception to any trail condition rule. No matter how wet/muddy it is you cannot do any damage to this place. The wet areas are mostly the roads, fire roads & double track which the maintenance crews regularly take a tractor/bobcat to, to (in their eyes) repair any issues. This does more damage than good many of the times. Pretty much all of the singletrack is on a steep side slope and is mainly a rock base, so damage is little to none no matter how wet is it out.

Math. 5 reviews: 4 of them 4-star and 1 of them 3-star. Averages to 3.8 which is what the park is coming in at.

@Kirt answered your follow-up question already 🙂

For your first time, you may want to park inside Round Valley Park in the South Lot. They don't charge admission until Memorial Day, but you need to be out of there at the posted closing time or you will probably be ticketed. Once you're parked in the South Lot, ride up the road the way you came in, look left and you'll see the Cushetunk Trail. This is an out and back trail that has a bail out onto a camp fire road about half way in. If you want to avoid the fire road, just bear right at any intersection that you come across. You'll know you made it to the end if you see a sign posted for a trail that is closed Jan-Sept.(Eagle Trail). If you're moving fast, you probably can make it to this point in 45-55 minutes. Bring your climbing legs and a box of tissues 😀.

No, the South Lot is inside RV right by the trailhead. I parked at the boat launch today instead of Cushetunk to avoid that monster hike a bike hill. The gate is kept unlocked until Memorial Day(I think), that way you can ride after the park closes w/o fear of being ticketed.
