Robin Williams' Bike Auction

Even more impressive is the ability to store all those bikes.
I did notice the tri bikes get the least amount of bids.

yeah the 650c tri and older carbons will bring the least interest

i know there was one in San Fran. one of the times i was out there i took a spin by his place on a site seeing tour. from what i could see the garage was very large.

Most of the bikes are my size and there are some drool worthy ones even if they weren't owned by RW. The Pantani special Bianchi and the Pego's to name a few. I don't think he even knew how to ride a unicycle.

We used to see him on occasion riding across the GG Bridge or in Mill Valley. I think most SF dwelling cyclists likely had at least one encounter with him. A couple of times I bumped into him at A Bicycle Odyssey, which is/was a great shop on the main northbound bike artery out of SF. He was usually hamming it up with the staff and customers or joking about the silliness of bike he just bought or was about to buy. The humor was always self deprecating and he always had time and a smile for us gawkers. Seeing him was always like coming into contact with some strange and magical force, like what Pop Rocks must taste like like to somebody from the middle ages.
