Reynolds Carbon took a shot last night, still holding air as of this morning. Tapping the rim, it sounds solid except on the area of impact. Fix, replace or new bike day?

New bike day is always the answer. If it's holding air. Let it rip. If it bothers you visually put a piece of tape over it

Rear, ride til it dies. front, replacing it is cheaper than the dental bill.

Just to add some context, you have to be allergic to them in order to be killed by bees (I was stung by several bees on a couple of occasions and I'm still here)...on the other hand, while not prolific ones, bears are non discriminatory killers...

Hayes/Reynolds is covering it under warranty. Their service department is top notch, responded immediately to my inquiry. $169 bucks for new spokes and nipples and I've got a completely rebuilt wheel. Thanks for that suggestion jdog.

Update:
Took exactly 3 weeks from the day I shipped the wheel out for its return, fully rebuilt. They also provided new decals for both wheels to make me faster 😎. I'm digging the yellow for sure!! Couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of this.

I can't say that their unusual approach to decals positioning in relation to the valve makes me fell all warm and fuzzy...I do appreciate the tire logo alignment on your part though.

Pretty sure that is how they always position the logo with that "stylized R/lightning" logo aligned with the valve stems. My set from ~15 years ago has the same alignment.

Very glad to have suggested it. Reynolds seems to have a fantastic warranty.. This is for sure one of the reasons that Pivot continues to work with them .

We are stocking these in the major sizes. Even if you just run them in the rear, they are worth using.

Very glad to have suggested it. Reynolds seems to have a fantastic warranty.. This is for sure one of the reasons that Pivot continues to work with them .

Mine are pretty much bulletproof. 15+ years and ~20k miles on them and really never had to touch them.
