Real Jerk

OK, So I haven't been on the board in a while and came across this post. That was me and I'm sorry that you felt I was being condescending by not saying hi but I was just trying to help you. I was going the right way on the one way trail and I had the right of way anyhow so you were supposed to pull over for me. If I had to say thanks to everybody going the wrong way I would be out of breath in no time. I'm not getting any younger and all my KOM's are almost gone so I have to save my strength to keep what I have. Next time you see me coming please try and move over a little faster and have no eye contact with me. It distracts me. Again, sorry about all this but I'm just a "condescending DB"

Oh and I can speak now, Thank you..😉

Looking back on my reply Ian, sorry if I sounded sarcastic. I honestly figured at certain trails like Parvins they want you to ride one direction.
They have a map of the trails at at least one parking lot entrance. The white arrows painted around the trails don't look "official" I guess but just kind of figured I should flow that direction. In fact, there was a foot race going on there that day and they all were running in the "right" direction. Maybe those involved painted those arrows? :hmmm:

I haven't seen the trail map you're referring to, but on maps I've seen with arrows on the trails, they are there to indicate hill direction and steepness:

">" = "up to down - slight grade"
">>" = "moderate grade"
">>>" = "steep grade"

From what I've seen, the vast majority of trail users at 6MR are not on this board nor do they pay much attention to "trail etiquette". They're just out there to ride or hike.

Parvins

The arrows at Parvins is for when there is a walk or a run that was being done. I live about 10 mins. form there and grew up around there. Great little park, can use a bit more singletrack and is flat. Not a bad place to ride if you live close.

Thanks for the clarification. As I mentioned, that particular day there was a running event going on of some sort and the arrows were painted around the trails. And besides the nasty case of chiggers and the tumble over the bars I rather like the trail system at Parvin's. 😀
