Rant

Dead serious. You guys should meet outside at 3 o'clock by the flagpole, it's on.

PS-I have no idea where you guys are talking about, I didn't know a) there was a technical climb in 6-Mile or b) that there would be some sort of root or tree making that technical section more technical. However since all the bears and animal skeletons have taken over the park I've not been back so someone could have added a technical climb in that time.

-Jim.

All I can say is, "Hahaha!" 🙂

Wait, I'm a little confused. Are we talking about the technical climb with the flame throwers, or the technical climb with the swinging double sided axes?

Maybe "technical" wasn't the right word. It's a short steep climb out of the second gully (going toward canal rd) on the old red with the 1 big root toward the top of it. I'll take a picture on my next ride. If you're in the granny gear at 6MR, you better work on your fitness.

Don't sweat it. You say 1 wrong word around here and the avalanche starts. I'd put all these punks in the penalty box for 48 hours but then we'd have no board traffic.

As Dark Helmet once said, keep firing, Assholes!

And if you use the word "technical" in a rant about a root at 6MR you should be nutted. Hard. 🙂

-Jim.

Hahahaahah. Nutted. I bet its the root (fat root) at the top of the hill that dips in the water after the one that was groomed with the turn at the bottom and the death gully on the right (on the way to the canal lot). No body cut it down I hit it with my shoulder and it went crying to the mama tree. For serious I know the one you rant about but I didn't notice the tree was gone

Must be the weather. The sky starts pouring and the trolling begins!

Nothing technical about 6Mile. But the word 'technical' comes to mind when describing that section compared to the rest of the trail. Somehow people are offended by that word...never thought of this forum as a pit for trials snobbery..

And by the way, gmb3 is a fricken solid rider that outclasses many on his 10 year old entry 26" HT while rockin his v-brakes.

we never questioned his abilities...we are all just trying to help find the bastard who cut down the tree. so far jdog, alex and gmb3 are no longer suspects. i'm not a suspect cause 6miles sucks and i never go there...it wasn't Pearl because him and jimV are way too busy trolling. who could have done this. :hmmm:

someone cut down the gnar

There is one gnar section left, although it's on the trail formerly known as red. Right where the trail rises about 20 feet up from the stream. If you get some speed and launch your bike off that ridge and land in the stream without holding onto your handlebar, you will be a youTube hero. That's gnarcore.

if i get hurt i'll be upset...and hurt

my friend did an acid drop off that spot, landed on his feet in the creek. vholdr was not recording at the time, otherwise i would have been buying everyone mochachinos for the next month.

You know, i agree with you. It's not actually techical, just relatively technical compared to the rest of the trails.

I know this thread is died but i rode today and took some pics:
