I've kept mine. Wrote down date, place, time, and position. I use 'em to bring back memories, but mostly will use them to determine how well I have improved year-to-year.

This was my first year.

I keep mine as well. Noted on the back are the date and finishing position. 09 numbers are currently hangin on my wall. I have a shadow box frame that i am planning to make a collage of pics medals and numbers with.

I have a few laying around. 😀
I decided to count them. There are 114 in that pile.

Nice hard plastic number plate. They gave away a few grand in cash prizes plus two frames. I was one of about 12 that lined up in the Pro field. There were so many flat tires by other guys that I ended up in 4th place. I took home my biggest payout ever, $200. This race ran just once. They lost so much money that they haven't had a XC race at Diablo since. 🙄

Funny, I was in the basement Tues night, organizing the work area and made a large pile of plates from the last 2 years. I think the final count was 15, all from the MASS series. The plan is to hang them up too.

I have two. I'm happy I finally had the balls to line up and race. I owe it to my wife. She had the "balls" to race her first triathlon this Summer. If she could jump into some freezing lake water with a couple hundred people, I could surely tool around some of NJ's parks on my mountain bike.

Thanks honey.

I started writing my times and places down and keeping a stack and then I realized that I really don't need another pile of crap hanging around my apartment. Basically I only keep the nice plastic ones from the nationals. I have the one from the 2007 and 2009 XC Nats hanging on my wall in my bedroom. I need room for bikes, not number plates.

I take the plates and medals and put them in a ziplock bag with the year written on the outside, if I ever get a man-cave I'll put them all up like Benny. I do have my trophies and plaques hung about the crib😀
