Pulled Over on Bike

Where did this happen? Some old guy flagged me down in a neighborhood in denville saying his house was robbed? He was pretty suspicious of me, but I found it funny that he thought a guy in spandex with nothing but a little tool bag and sweating his ass off was the one to rob him.

I think the key here is whether the robberies actually happened.

If so and you did indeed match a description then I would say this is a complete non-issue.

However, if the robbery thing was b.s. And he just made that up as an excuse to give you a hard time then, that is something different. Although, as said above, almost certainly still not worth reporting as nothing will come of it.

If you care enough - as suggested above, check the police blotter for the report of robberies.

I used to get pulled over driving my truck in East brunswick and Spotswood when I was in high school. Reasons were - Window Tint, License plate light.... Stupid shit..

Before you know it, I'm outside my car, four cops, three cop cars searching my shit thinking I had drugs..

All because I drove a real nice low rider.

Whenever I'd challenge them on searching the vehicle, "Probable Cause" was their answer.

I learned all the neighborhoods and backroads through those towns just to avoid the main roads where them sons-a-bitches would be so I wouldn't get pulled over.

Just so you know, window tint and license plate light are valid reasons for pulling you over. With window tint they can even make you remove it on the spot or tow your automobile.

I have watched whole groups of riders get pulled over in bedminster for not obeying the laws of the road, one group was 4 wide obstructing traffic. I wanted to pull over also and laugh at them. Personally I like the fact that police pull over the cyclists breaking the law. Just like I when cars get pulled over.

If your house got robbed, wouldnt you want everyone who looks even a little suspicious checked? Like the others said once he realized he was wasting time he let you go.

Id just leave it. Staying quiet is stupid too really. If you are not breaking the law theres no need. Plus by helping the officer you are helping the people that got robbed. yes the 5-0 can be d1cks but if its to help a victim id take a few dick head remarks from one of them to help the victims out.

Still the BS about the light to then basically contradict himself by using it as just an excuse just goes to show the downfalls of the law.

Everyone should know their rights. You don't have to produce I D
You don't even have to tell him your name.
Read your constitution.

Where the heck have you been the last 20 years?...the cop has the right to shoot you dead if he feels the least bit threatened. This country used the constitution to wipe its butt while producing the "Patriot Act", declair anyone they want "Enemy combatant" and "Tortcher some fokes".....to protect our freedom.

you have the right to stfu and do as you are told. If the Op had been any other colour than white, I am guessing he would be a bloody lump of meat in a jail cell right now......now, where is my tinfoil hat?? I have to get back to my Survival bunker and hug my guns before I go to bed....😉
