Protective Eye Wear.

I have a nice set of Smith's...don't wear them too often though.

Prior to that, I was wearing some safety glasses I bought at Walmart for $5. They worked pretty well, actually...

I typically ride using Smith and Wesson Code 4 safety glasses. They vent fairly well as they don't sit too close to my face. They also stay put and don't slide down my nose. As long as I'm moving, they don't fog up, but all bets are off once I stop, especially if the temp. and humidity are just right.

I've tried several others, but they work the best for me.

I work in health and safety so I almost have to wear eye protection when I ride. Can't show up to work with a patch on my eye - lose a little credibility there...

I love Oakleys!!

I swear by my Oakleys.

My newest fashion statement is the Commit AV. The frame is durable, very light, fits my head like a glove and you can get replacement lenses. It came with the G30 Black Iridium lenses which is great for the trail on a really bright day. I also bought the Bronze Polarized lenses which are my favorite for wearing on sunny days and for road riding and Clear for overcast days and late afternoon/ night riding.

The other style that is really nice is called Enduring. They were really cool looking glasses, but between the two, I preferred the way I looked in the Commit. You still have to look good when you spend that much on sunglasses 😉

As an aside, if I had a bigger head, I would have had a lot more options, but I needed the smaller frames.

If you want to check them out, there is an Oakley store in Bridgewater Commons and they had just about every frame they make there for you to try.

Happy shopping 😀

Oakley Flak Jacket with Transitions Amber for daylight hours, and clear for the night rides.

I wasn't sure about the Transitions lenses, but makes a big difference when you keep going in and out of cover.
