Presta tubes on schrader rims???

Schraeder Fans:

You've all made good points, however, where I ride it would be a hell of a walk to a gas station and I've found that it is much easier to get decent air pressure out of a small hand pump using a presta valve. The only presta nub I've ever broken was because it got mangled in my tool drawer in the basement. You guys are probably just too strong.

But that small hand pump will work just as well on a schrader valve as on a presta....

The nipples snap on presta valves because they have been unscrewed all the way. Try unscrewing half way and you will snap less nipples.
