Post your BooBoo's

This is from a few years ago when I tried to move a pine tree like a slalom pole.

I broke my wife. 🙁

3 weeks ago we crashed our tandem bike. It was 1/4 mile from our house at the end of our ride.

It took 3 plates and 16 screws to put Helen's ankle back together.

She looks forward to getting back on a bike in 8-10 weeks.

Sending in healing thoughts!
Time for Helen to get her own login here...

Sounds like it's time for Helen to get her own bike...all kidding aside, best wishes for a full and speedy recovery

Helen owns 2 bikes. 🙂

She is not as fast as I'm so a tandem is a great equalizer. We usually do a short ride 3-4 nights a week after work and a longer ride during the day on Saturday.

Kind of like -(how was your day today honey ?) ride.

It was dark, there was a rut in the road, it started to rain and we were hungry. We we were pushing it faster than our normal slow pace and I was not able to save it, so we went down.

We have been riding a Tandem for a while and this was our worst one yet, although last year we did go down hard on Black Ice and took 3 weeks off to heal.

Helen does not blame me (she is great that way), we crash as a team. 🙂

So I'm watching TV with the wife and I feel a small lump about 2 inches above my navel. I say to her UT-Oh, I think I have a Tic on me.
She takes a closer look and sees the small lump, says it' a boo-boo and gives it a feel, it's something small an sharp. She gives it a tug,
and my boo-boo starts to slowly slide out. It's a 1.5 inch long wire bristle that went straight in.
Not to the left and not to the right, but straight frickin' in! I was wondering what it might have hit in there?
It must have flew off my power wire wheel earlier today as I was cleaning up my bike rack for a new paint job.
