Post a picture of your next bike part or mtb gear on order!

Yeah, didn’t help. A lot of the recent transfers have this problem, plenty of complaints on all of the forums.

I grabbed a used e13 as a backup, will see how it performs tonight.
Is it something specific to the 150? I had one with the same issue, it did work a little better after loosening the clamp but it wasn't a real solution. I moved to a 175 transfer and that worked flawlessly until being replaced by a 200 transfer, which is still working fine.

I use suspension fork stantion lube. It works ok.
Keep it clean and get lube behind the dust seal. If I hang the bike with the seat down it doesn't pop back up

I bought 3 fox droppers all priced under $120.
2 125mm and now a 150mm

I think it’s related to production troubles in the post-Covid shit show. Mine is a 200mm NOS until from 2022 that I bought new in spring 2024.

This is telling....

Actually, when I had my (2021) X2 serviced at Fox they replaced it without even evaluating due to the notorious blowing up issue. So they know there's something they did wrong, I guess they've changed their way of dealing with it lately...

I think they're still doing the same thing. Send it it in for service, pay the normal $175 service rate, get a new shock. It's out of warranty, so it's not really a warranty evaluation.

Reading better into it yes, it is the same thing. Mine didn't even have the issue, I just sent it back for regular service.

Built my XC bike up like any other bike with my normal 32mm stem...not realizing the reach was a solid 20mm shorter than my other bikes. So, correcting that with the stock size stem which plants it right around my happy reach around 475mm. Probably will ride much more like an XC bike now too.

Finally pull the trigger on some 11 speed Campy bits... after making the mistake years ago on 10 spd (which uses a somewhat odd cassette and makes upgrades more annoying). Still haven't decided if this will go on the Grade or the Colnago... if the former, I might have to get a new hub body for the Onyx hub. If the Colnago, I'll be commissioning Halter's for a new wheelset.

Campy’s too classy for a GT, put’em on the Colnago. 😉

The GT has Campy Record on it now, but it's the 10 spd bits (shifters and rear derailleur). The Paul brake calipers are set up for Campy levers. However, it's been a royal PITA getting a 10 spd Campy setup to work on my Wahoo Kickr. Campy 11 spd is more forgiving since that can run a Shimano 11 spd. HG cassette.

The Colnago has 8 spd Campy on it now (first year Ergopower from 1992) along with some vintage Mavic cranks that look really cool but could also be used as a small boat anchor. And the cog range for 8 spd Campy is somewhat limited and it would be nice to install something with a larger range.

The other part of the decision process is I really want a new road bike and that would pretty much replace the GT, so part of me doesn't really want to put effort/money into it.

I'll decide once the parts get to me. I do lean towards the Colnago since that bike is not likely to go anywhere and a conversion to 11 spd would mean it could go immediately onto the Kickr. The GT can run fenders so that is usually my bike for the occasional winter rides.

Since I kinda dig the freedom of the gravel bike and the whole mixed surface ride thing; I’m going to show her some love. Aside from running a wax chain, I’m moving from a Force / XX0 AXS mullet to full Force XPLR. What I loose in granny gear I make up in smaller gear jumps.

I was always a Campy fanboy till Shimano changed their hood design which was so much more comfortable at the time. Have they changed the hood design since 2000ish?
