PLEASE HELP Avoid trail closure.

Signed. I also cited the narrow road on Canal and how close cars and bikes have to come to each other.

Perhaps the answer is a bridge/trestle spanned between the end of red and the ranger's house, this would avoid people having to ride on the road. If you got a steel truss bridge like the one installed over the stream near Middlebush, problem solved?

Petition page is working oddly for me, is there another link to? Keeps reloading. Tried from the link here and the Jorba feed. Thx.

There is some sort of coding problem on the page for sure. I was having similar problems. I tried using the share links after I finally got it to work and it kept freezing.

I stopped by yesterday during my road ride and didn't see a fence at the end of Red, did they take it down already? That would be awesome if that worked that fast 😀

Saw a fence company truck parked there at the end of red (on canal rd) last friday night. Workers were out doing something for sure.

Sat.. nothing.. and still nothing.

This may have something to do with the 300+ emails that the superintendent got on Friday night..

Anyway you cut it, this is in fact a CLOSED trail. The trail is to be reviewed for a permanent call this winter.

The 500+ signatures on this petition can't hurt.

Any news? I see an interesting facebook post by JORBA.

This is on the blue trail near canal rd.

I have been working on the blue a lot since sandy.

I removed the old wooded features at this spot as they were falling apart.

I reused some of the wood and cut a new small section of singletrack that flows nicely.

Don't know if this has already been suggested...

How about thinning the vegetation where the Red Trail meets Canal Rd to improve visibility, so riders can see if cars are coming, and vice versa?

Not just a little trimming... I'm talking hard-core pruning at least 100ft into the trail, and 100yd in each direction on the road to really open the area up.

Just a thought...
And I'll volunteer to help with the work. 🙂
