Hello everyone.

I am back again to sell one of my bikes. This time I am selling my Firebird 29er sized medium. The bike is mechanically perfect and doesn't have a lot of time on it. I bought this bike about a year ago with a few upgrades. I had the bike upgraded from Pivot with the Fox Factory X2. The rear shock was just rebuilt under warranty by Fox so it is ready for next season. There are as few minors scratches on the frame (nothing crazy as you can see from the photographs). I have never had any issues with the bike. I bought a new bike, so unfortunately I need to fund those, so this bike has to go.

Note: I have put brand new take off DT Swiss M1700 wheels with DT350 (36t ratchet upgrade) hubs back on the Firebird. These are the stock aluminum wheels that come with the bike if you do not upgrade to Carbon wheels. The wheels have never seen dirt nor have they ever been ridden on. The 12 speed cassette and rotors on the wheels will be swapped with the 11 speed cassette the bike came with and the upgraded rotors that are on the wheelset that came off the bike. I have provided photos of the 11 speed XT cassette and the RT99 rotors

Also there is a slight tear in the rear of the seat as shown in photos.

Pedals not included.

$4200

Pro XT/XTR - 11 Speed

- Fox Factory 36 29" GRIP 2, 170mm travel
- Fox Transfer Dropper
- Shimano XT/XTR 11 Speed
- Raceface Affect Cranks

Upgrades:

- Shimano Saint M820 Front and Rear brakes
- Shimano RT99 XTR Ice Tech Freeza centerlock Rotors Front (203mm) and Rear (180) - Note: I will be putting these rotors on the new take off wheelset
- Pivot Upgraded Rear Shock (Fox Factory X2) - Kashima coated
- Wolftooth Dropper Remove
- Fox Transfer Dropper
- MRP SXG bashguard and chain guide
- Tires: Maxxis Minion DHR II (Front)/ Maxxis Rekon (Rear) - Tires are brand new never ridden and setup tubeless.
- 70 MM stem. (I can remove and replace with the stop 45mm stem if interested)

Any questions, Please ask.

The grip 2 is amazing. I'm sending the 36 from my Mach 6 tonfox for rebuild and will have it converted to grip 2. I absolutely love it.

I was considering the upgrade. Does it actually perform better or just allow for more adjusting?

Yes, the fork to me feels way more progressive with GRIP 2. It is smoother overall. It is quite an upgrade over the first GRIP iteration. It is beautiful on the Firebird which is why I was considering it for my Mach 6, 36 fork.

It is normally 480, but I talked to Fox and it is 360 on special as long as you do the service with it.

Price includes fork service (roughly 180) and then the cost of the damper. Taxes and Shipping are not included in either of those prices.

I'm going to wait I think. I need to acquire bikes first and tear my Mach 6 apart for next season.

BTW, someone buy my Firebird. I can throw the brand new M1700 wheels from my trail when it shows up and take the carbon wheels off the firebird and do better with pricing if that is enticing to anyone. Every firebird build comes with the same M1700 wheels unless you do the carbon upgrade. I have to buy wheels for the trail anyhow if I sell the bird with its carbon wheels. Just a thought..

$300 including a full service of the fork. (The retail on just the damper is $305)

***I had my Float X2 rear shock and dropper serviced at the same time so I believe I received some additional discount***
I think FOX offers 15% or 20% off for sending in 3 FOX items together for service.

@jdog

First week in Feb for which? My trail shipped. I did a preseason order.

Phoenix, I am waiting for them to unveil the new 27.5 and then decide.

@chris12453 If your Bird was a large I would have considered it. Looks really clean. I have a Tan Bird on order that I should have just after Xmas.

@Sevenz
That large is intense. It is ginormous. I am inbetween medium and large on most bikes and that bike fits like an XL at large. It's crazy

I have ridden both the Med and Large...I like the large fit as it is going to be replacing my DH bike (Santa Cruz V10). It's going to be my big mountain enduro bike and park bike.

Someone buy his Firebird!!! Its a sick bike :)
