Jeez people take this so seriously. I think I've listened to one phish song in my life and fell asleep half way through it. As a general rule, I dislike jam(my) bands.

On a related note, there are rules of rock similar to those for cycling put together by a highly esteemed rock aficionado. The relevant rule is as follows:

Rule # 3: He who loves jam bands also loves slamming the man ham.

So there! 😛
 
Agree with Capers. People love to hate other people's enjoyment of Phish. It's a strange phenomenon.
 
I've come to realize that most music I don't enjoy doesnt suck, its just not my thing. People get enjoyment out of different kinds of music, and thats cool.

Unless we're talking about Bon Jovi, they suck.

No tone taken. I follow what you’re saying and agree that the early 2000’s were not the best years and most likely the reason they stopped in 2004. Since their return in 2009 they seem more focused and the energy is very high again.

You really can’t judge them by their studio work because the attraction at least to me has always been the live stuff.

My band has 2 saxophones. Baritone and tenor.

You can tell us we suck all you wan't but I have a great time at every show we play! And I'm pretty sure every one else does too.

Hey man, let me clarify a bit here. The esteemed rock aficionado is a confirmed metal head, and may or may not have the first name "Rick" 😛

I've been posting on another board (sports related) with the same bunch of guys for over 17 years and we constantly ball bust over off-topics such as musical preferences. It's just a joke. I guess people here take things more seriously...

Not offended at all. Even if you were serious, I still wouldn't take it to heart. Life is too short to cry about what other people think.

A lot of us here that see each other on a regular basis are ruthless with our online ball busting of each other. I'm not sure if Iv'e ever met you outside of the internet so It's harder for me to gauge weather or not you're just fucking around or being serious. Either way, it's all good man.

So what were we talking about again? Oh yeah. Phish tour this summer!

Yeah we gotta ride sometime. I know we've almost crossed paths a few times. I'll try to keep up! And I know you're a musician, will def catch your band some night. Even if it has a sax 😀
