You need one of these:

So the line is there and it isn't perfect, meh. What you guys have accomplished with no experience whatsoever is pretty freakin awesome :getsome:

Keep up the good work!

Yeah, let this be a lesson to you all. You dont' know how to do it? Who cares, just do it anyway. It's a lot of work and it's scary but do you have any idea how gratifying it will be after the first poop in the new awesome bathroom?

Hopefully today we can install the board and batten trim in the bathroom. We tried buying the wood at Lowes the other day but found out they don't cut lumber. What?! You have got to be kidding me. Where exactly do you think I'm going to fit 12 foot long pieces of trim?

We really wanted to buy a saw, cut it in the parking lot, and then return the saw. But instead I think we'll just go to the HD.

HD > L

Then it's onto painting trim & installing dat toilet and sink. Holla.

I used a hand saw once at Home Depot when their saw wasn't working. You should be doing the same.

Thanks for the love. We just keep on moving. I've been completely drained for the last two weeks of this project, but we just keep pushing on. Mandi has been killing it with the verbiage, so I won't steal it, just her photos I steals.

The part that Mandi didn't cover was how the plumbing is suppose to work with these drawers. IKEA sells some trick plumbing, but not sure if we will be able to make this work... Plumbers reply

That mirror is certianly mandi height 😛

Are the doors in the vanity notched in the back for the plumbing? The vanity we have in our powder room is notched for the plumbing to fit. The hardest place to cheat for space is the waste water trap, there just isn't getting around the big u shape at the bottom. Wood need to see the door to comment.

the doors are not notched. the plumbing is suppose to run behind them, super tight. Mandi should chime in with what it looks like.

The fittings for the water have extension in them for sure, so I know i could take them out and shorten them. The drain is the one in question.

i took the tape off before we left sadly.

It irks the crap out of me that they watermark every picture like that. I'm going to write a letter to her in Excel and tell her to cut that shit out.

Turning the water trap to the side should work fine, I guess the main issue is if you existing lines are short enough to not hit the doors. Not gunna know until you put the doors in.. Hopefully there isn't custom notching in your future.

we left as we thought about it, but it looks like the drain is threaded in, can't i just cop a shorter jaun?

hard to tell from the pic, but usually that part of the waste line is hard to mess with without tearing into the wall. I am not well versed there doe.
