When fat biking, clipless pedals or clipless?

The reason I asked .. 45NRTH is making a non spd winter shoe for 2014

SPD's, but they do get stuck full of ice. I would consider some platforms or some of those with spd's in the center of platforms as in the bad snow, you are in and out of the pedals so often.
I see a lot of the super fat bike guys running flats so they can run real winter boots and not get frostbite. In places where the Lake's won't cut it it become necessary. Well now those new boots Jim bought are out, maybe those guys can use those.

Depends. If I'm only gonna ride on the beach, I use flats so I can wear sandals and get my feet wet. Also, step in sand and you'll never be able to clip in anyways 😀

Any other time I'm clipped into normal SPDs.

When I rode in the snow I did have my pedals fill up with snow which turned to ice. So if could have my dream fat bike it would be those fancy flats with the clip thingy in the middle. It would also have one of those electric motor hubs for the hills

This would actually solve one of my issues. I wore a pair of non wonderful winter boots I own (really soft sole) and it was just ok on a very short ride. Was planning on getting booties and trying to figure something out with them, cut the bottoms some or something. Cool.
