OOS MOGA

On 5/12 Sat, we have an opportunity to ride Ringwood with a local guide.
I won't be able to make it due to a wedding but if anyone is interested, post up!

Unfortunately, I am out got an ALS walk down at the Jersey Shore, really want to get a guided tour of Ringwood I have been a few times and have a blast just getting lost up there. It is where I started MTB as a kid 20 years ago.

Who else? Nassau is pretty fun and I think its a pretty beginner friendly park. Last ride I did there, we did about 10 miles with less than 600ft of climbing.
It has pretty nice flowy sections where if I remember correctly, I was able to coast about 1/4 mile without pedaling. Maybe I am exaggerating but felt that way.
I'm in. I've never rode there before and looking forward meeting new riders.

Its one of those feel good parks as @qclabrat described it and you will be with good company.... with the exception of yours truly... cause I am a whiner 🙂

Things that I have said during a ride...
I ran out of water!
The new shoes are killing my feet!
My legs are cramping!
I can't breath!
I need to blow my nose
etc... etc...

guessing it would be in poor taste to have a 15 month old ride with me lol if anyone wants to join me I will be in Stephens on 5/6, no I have no idea where I am going. Will update with time most likely 7am or 8am on sunday.

Of course, I am gonna be in West Long Branch so will be down there but won't be able to join, just my luck. Allaire is a blast hit it last year while I was in Ortley on vacation.

@Chris Nordt Come to Nassau tomorrow

I have yet to pull the bike out of the shed this spring, I have a feeling I'm going to be a puking mess on anything other then a paved bike path at the moment lol. The Yeti is in desperate need of a tune as well, I'll have to catch you on the next one.

weak excuse, what's "this Spring", that's a 2 month window

Haha I know, mostly it's been mother nature not cooperating till recently and my very long list of "honey-do" projects lol

Sunday is possible as well, need to hit the Southern parks before Memorial day, after that won't see me on the GSP southbound
So let's try to get to Hartshorne and Huber Woods, both which I've never been
I was told 5/13 Sun is Mother's day... not sure of the schedule yet.

Huber will be a nice ride for breaking the legs back in, especially for the out-of-shape nubes, but Harthshorn is a whole different animal. It's leg work out to the max, think of those 3 quick down/ups on the red trail on 6 mile.. now combine the ups to 1 continuous climb, and do it several times. There is a fire trail climb long and steep enough that i've hit 23mph going down it. If you guys are up for it i'll take you through it, just eat your wheaties ahead of time and be prepared for some walking lol
