OOS MOGA

So good to get the band back together again ! Hadn't ridden with some these guys since Covid, and it was awesome to do so once again. Thanks to Brett for leading, Huffster for knowing where we going when Brett was on the other end of the line, and to everyone for waiting for my slightly late ass to show up before hitting the trails. Oh ..and to those that shared the contents of their coolers. Also nice to ride with @jackx for what I think was my first time. Wildcat is super fun, hope get back there soon. Thanks guys for great end to a fun weekend.

Good times, OOS lives. Nice seeing @BPaze, @Paul H, @huffster , @mtbiker87 , @jackx , @TimBay , @Mr.Moto ,@Mr. E Man. Thanks to Brett for leading and also him and Bob for the post ride refuel. We talked about getting a cadence on these rides so let's put something up for every two weeks. Anybody want to suggest a location for weekend of Aug 15th? Someone mentioned Stephens, who knows the park well enough to lead?
Good ride today with OOS at Wildcat. It was great to meet everyone. Thanks to @BPaze for both leading and sweeping at various times.

Thanks again all for waiting while I removed my broken spoke and put in a tube since my rim tape was punctured by the spoke.

I mentioned Stephens SP today as it is the park closest to where I live. I can certainly lead at Stephens or even Kittatinney SP.

I may have killed @TimBay yesterday, but he killed my ego doing all the drops I chicken around.
Hopefully it gave you confidence for future rides seeing my weak skill level basically roll those things. They're well designed drops, so just a little lift on the front wheel with speed is all you need. I really enjoyed the ride, thanks again. Next time I want to attack warm puppy earlier so I have the strength to possibly clean it. There were so many fun sections and I'm glad you kept giving the option "if you dont mind climbing a littler we can do this section...", they were all worth the climbs in my opinion.

Glad you liked it, anytime!

About the drops...I believe all I need to do is clear one, it's a mental block which is also made heavier by the possibility of getting injured due to inexperience, which would be a real disaster right now. So I take the chicken route. I'm fine with it.

What drops did you hit, 6 bridges? those are awesome or was it the ones at the end of skyline going into warm puppy?

6 bridges and Cat Nest. We didn't do Skylands this time, we took Old Morris Rd on the way back instead as it was the end of the ride after some rough climbing (we ended up doing about 14 miles in the end). Next time maybe. Actually, the drops on Skylands may do the trick, I need to have a second look.

I think most the drops on 6 bridges are easier, all except one that you have to go between 2 trees. They were really easy, I hit them at peak leaves on ground and was scared as could be, but they were really smooth that is a great trail I am glad they revived it. The one at the end of skyline before warm puppy is a little weird, not bad but a little tougher.

I'm locking it into my calendar. Who else is in or at least likely?
I might be going here that weekend to die
